Blast Furnace

The refractory branch  supplies all refractory used in a cast house floor.

Castable refractory concretes

The refractory branch offers an extensive range of castable refractory for many blast furnace applications.
These include:
-  shaft shielding gunite,
- wearing and safety lining for the throughs,
-  channel cover lining.
Relying on a proven service organization, the branch handles global service contracts thanks to the confidence of its customers: this makes us the one and only contact when it comes to operating refractory. The refractory branch carries out a facilities’ performance continuous improvement program for each plant they work for.

Taphole clay

Thanks to a more than 50-years experience in designing and manufacturing taphole clay, the branch offers a wide range of environmentally-friendly products that can meet the technical specifications of blast furnaces delivering from 3,000T to 13,000T of iron pig per day.
Such expertise is acknowledged worldwide and enables the branch to be present on all five  continents.

Steel Shops

The branch intervenes throughout the whole steelmaking process, both in the electrical field and in the oxygen field.

Bricks

For the past few years, the refractory branch has forged a reputation in engineering refractory bricks for iron and steel ladle applications.

The TRB brick range (alumina, magnesia, andalusite) can handle any type of ladle-based metallurgical process applications.

It also provides the customer with optimized refractory ladle shielding thanks to a proper mix of qualities and formats of bottom, impact, wall and slag line.

Castables

On-location shotcrete or cast concrete, the branch offers an array of silicon-aluminated and basic products. Dense gunning applications allow efficient maintenance of tools as various as transfer ladles, converters or RH.

Refractory shapes

The  branch is specialized in designing and manufacturing refractory shapes.
This means the refractory branch has managed to engineer refractory castable including some metallic-fiber-based ones that give our refractory shapes a high level of performance for sensitive applications such as spouts, ladle lip rings or cover.
Other more conventional refractory shapes such as electric furnace rider arches also account for a significant part in our business.
